Calling All Educators: Supporting Teens Through Grief Virtual Workshop Returns!

Sponsored by the New York Life Foundation, we are partnering with Judi’s House, a community-based grief support and research center, to host this free virtual workshop for educators supporting teens processing loss and grief. Learn more about how you can approach conversations about sensitive topics and exercises to help students channel their feelings into art or writing.

Art and writing work about grief and bereavement created by teens in grades 7–12, age 13 and up, may be eligible for a $2,000 through the New York Life Award sponsored by the New York Life Foundation.

About the Facilitator

Emily Napier began working at Judi’s House/JAG Institute in July 2022 and is now the Assistant Director of Community-Based Care. In her role, she works to establish and strengthen relationships with community partners and coordinates our community-based training and direct service programming. She and her team help to bring the work of Judi’s House into the community through educational workshops, therapeutic support groups, staff and personnel trainings, consultation, and outreach.
