Each year, hundreds of teens meet weekly on Zoom to write together and share their writing. For five weeks, we virtually visit different states, cities, and communities to get inspired and create something new.
Hosted by teen writers for teen writers, this writing marathon will take you around the country from Los Angeles, CA to New Jersey to Indiana to Connecticut and beyond! Join us to cultivate a writer’s eye, ear, and mind while writing and sharing in a judgment-free, supportive community.
The Writing Marathon will meet every Wednesday from July 19, 2023, to August 16, 2023, for 90-minutes from 8:00–9:30 pm ET/7:00–8:30 pm CT/6:00–7:30 pm MT/5:00–6:30 pm PT. This marathon is open to all teen writers. Whether you’re experienced or just starting out, we hope you’ll join us!
All participants are invited back on Wednesday, September 20, to share one piece of writing with teachers and authors from around the country for revisions! This is a chance to polish up a piece you’re proud of to enter in the Scholastic Art & Writing Awards.
