Scholastic Awards alumni go on to do incredible things! Here are some recent accomplishments and news about notable alums:
- Artist José Parlá ‘89 was profiled in The New York Times about his recent recovery from Covid and the most vigorous work he’s made yet: “It took me a really long time to understand what had happened to me.”
- The bestselling novel Blonde by Joyce Carol Oates ‘56 has been adapted into a film and will premiere on Netflix in late September 2022.
- Acceptance, a memoir by Emi Nietfeld ‘10, was released last month. “Nietfeld’s gifts for capturing the fury of living at the mercy of bad circumstances, for critiquing the hero’s journey even while she tells it, make Acceptance a remarkable memoir,” writes The New York Times.
