June 8
RE-ENTRY: 2022 National Exhibition
Time: 10:00 am–4:00 pm

Registration
Time: 1:00–5:00 pm
Location: Millennium Hotel Times Square, 145 West 44th Street, 2nd Floor
Tickets for the National Ceremony at Carnegie Hall MUST be picked up during registration. Tickets to the Ceremony CANNOT be obtained at Carnegie Hall.
Students will be professionally photographed with their medals and Scholastic Awards merchandise will be available for purchase.
Workshops and Panels for Students
Expressive Portraits Art Workshop
Time: 4:00–5:00 pm
Location: Millennium Hotel Times Square, 145 West 44th Street
Draw original portraits of yourself or a friend that express personality and a unique voice! Learn how to capture a likeness with unusual expressions using colored pencils and a mirror or smartphone.
I Am Breaking Up With _____ Writing Workshop
Time: 5:30 pm–6:30 pm
Location: Millennium Hotel Times Square, 145 West 44th Street
This interactive workshop is for both prose and poetry writers. Attendees will write breakup letters to _: a concept, a person (real or imaginary), or a past version of themselves. Students will get a chance to meet other writers, share their work, and connect through their creativity.
Panel Discussion with Scholastic Inc. Editors and Designers
Time: 7:00–8:30 pm
Location: Millennium Hotel Times Square, 145 West 44th Street
Scholastic Inc. editors David Levithan, Andrea Davis Pinkney, and Orlando Dos Reis will join Scholastic Inc. designers Elizabeth Parisi and Stephanie Yang for a discussion about becoming a published author, being a working artist, and the world of publishing today. A short meet and greet will follow the discussion.

Mandatory Dress Rehearsal for Students
Time: 3:30–4:30 pm
Location: Carnegie Hall Stage Door, 161 West 56th Street (between 6th & 7th Avenues)
Important Tips:
- Guests will not be allowed to enter the building during dress rehearsal. Doors open at 5:00 pm for guests and educators.
- Make sure your child eats before they arrive! They will not be allowed to leave the building until the conclusion of the Ceremony.
- Please charge everyone’s phones!
- Your child’s medal is their ticket to the Ceremony, so don’t forget it! Parents and guardians should keep the guest tickets—all guests will need a ticket to enter the building!
- Students will be seated in a separate section from their guests. Make sure you have a plan for where you will meet your child after the Ceremony!

National Ceremony at Carnegie Hall
Time: 6:00–7:00 pm
Location: Carnegie Hall, 881 7th Ave
Doors open at 5:00 pm for guests and educators. The Ceremony begins promptly at 6:00 pm.
