The Alliance for Young Artists & Writers, presenter of the Scholastic Art & Writing Awards, is pleased to announce two residencies for our 2020 Scholastic Awards educators: the Writer’s Retreat for Educators in New Orleans, Louisiana, and the GOLDEN Educators Residency in New Berlin, New York.
Two educators whose students received recognition in the 2020 Scholastic Awards will be invited to participate in the Southeastern Louisiana Writing Project’s annual New Orleans Writing Marathon. The selected educator-writers will have the opportunity to write while interacting with other educators and writers.
The retreat will be held July 13–17, 2020. The online application will open on February 3 and close on March 5, 2020.

The 2020 residency will be held from July 21 to August 3, 2020. The online application will open on March 2 and close on April 15, 2020.
