The weekend of March 22-24 was a big weekend for New York City students who received recognition in the 2019 Scholastic Art & Writing Awards. From an opening reception to two awards ceremonies, teenage creativity was on display across New York City!

On Friday, March 22, the NYC Scholastic Awards Regional Gold Key Exhibition opened at The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City. More than 600 works of art and writing were on display and hundreds of students and their families attended the opening reception.

The exhibition is on display until May 27, so go see it for yourself!

On Sunday, March 24, the regional awards ceremonies for the NYC Scholastic Awards were held at The New School. Hundreds of students received their Gold or Silver Key pins and were celebrated along with their families.
