New Awards, Scholarships, and Partners, Oh My!

The Scholastic Art & Writing Awards partners with many organizations to bring more opportunities for recognition and scholarships to students. We’re proud to announce that we have two new partners to provide additional awards and scholarships for 2016!

Luxury retailer Neiman Marcus joins the Scholastic Awards family to offer two new awards: the Neiman Marcus Award for Fashion and the Neiman Marcus Award for Jewelry! Students who submit works in the fashion and jewelry categories automatically become eligible for consideration for the Neiman Marcus Awards. Through their Heart of Neiman Marcus Foundation, we are able to offer two scholarships of $1,000 to one Gold Medal recipient in fashion and one in jewelry.

The Royal Bank of Canada promotes understanding and respect for the differences in others through Don’t Hide it, Flaunt It, and we’ve joined with them to present The RBC Flaunt It Award! The Don’t Hide It, Flaunt It motto, “The things that make me different, make me, me,” encourages everyone to embrace their uniqueness, whether your difference is visible to others or if there is something special inside of you that makes you, you. Students submitting art or writing in any category can select their work for consideration for this award during the upload process. Two students who explore this theme of difference and acceptance will be awarded scholarships of $1,000.
