Free, Virtual Workshop Series This Summer! Drawing Commentary: Making Editorial Cartoons

You have opinions. What if you made them into cartoons? Join the Alliance for Young Artists & Writers and editorial cartoonist Sofia Warren in exploring cartoons as a way of documenting and commenting on the world around us. Together, participants learn from some masters of the form by examining their work. Then, participants dig into the process themselves, from picking a topic, to articulating a perspective, to figuring out how to communicate using humor and visual language. Expect to leave these workshops with a few original cartoons, and the tools to keep making your own editorial cartoons in the future.

Schedule

Sponsored by The Herb Block Foundation, this virtual series is free and open to all young people. RSVPs will be capped at 100 participants per session; participants may sign up for more than one session.
