The Herblock Award for Editorial Cartoon, sponsored by The Herb Block Foundation, was created to celebrate the legacy of four-time Pulitzer Prize–winning cartoonist Herb Block. This award recognizes three students who exhibit exceptional skill in editorial cartooning in the Scholastic Art & Writing Awards and provides each student with a $2,000 scholarship.

This year’s recipients created powerful pieces of artwork that offered insightful commentaries on the current events affecting all of us.
