The Herblock Award for Editorial Cartoon, underwritten by The Herb Block Foundation, was created to celebrate the legacy of four-time Pulitzer Prize-winning cartoonist Herb Block. This award recognizes three students who exhibit excellence in editorial cartooning in the Scholastic Art & Writing Awards with $1,000 scholarships.

From factory farming to politics, this year’s recipients combined words and images to create powerful pieces of art.
