What do Roy Lichtenstein, Claes Oldenburg, Robert Rauschenberg and Scholastic Awards alum Andy Warhol have in common? They are all notable pop artists!

A movement that began in the late 1950s, pop art includes imagery from popular culture and references comic books, advertising, current events, and objects. Warhol’s Campbell’s Soup Cans and Lichtenstein’s comic book-inspired images are both great examples of pop art!

Now it’s your turn! Take something you see every day and turn it into a piece of art or writing.
