Interlochen Arts Academy, one of the nation’s finest arts boarding schools, celebrates its 50th Anniversary this year and has been touring the country to celebrate! Where better to make its final stop than the core of the art world, home to dozens of the world’s top galleries, New York City’s Chelsea neighborhood? Check it out for yourself!
This Saturday, November 17, from 12:30 to 9 PM, you’re invited to the Helen Mills Theater to see 70 pieces of student artwork in a wide variety of genres, meet current students, arts faculty and alums, and learn about Interlochen’s summer and school year programs.
Best of all, admission is FREE!
We’re especially proud of 2 of the participants: Alicia Krupsky, who won a 2012 Gold Key for her sculpture Inspiration’s Circulation and Martel McCornell, who not only earned a 2011 Silver Medal for his photography and an ASAP Award to attend Interlochen’s Summer Academy, but went on to earn a scholarship and is now enrolled as a full-time student. The icing on the cake? You’ll be able to meet him in person if you visit on Saturday. Be sure to let him know the Alliance sent you!
