Did you know that April is National Poetry Month?
National Poetry Month was established by the Academy of American Poets in 1996, and since then, it has been celebrated by schools, libraries, literary organizations, publishers, poets, and many others across the country. Last year, we invited all of you to contribute to our poem in commemoration of this special month. The outcome was incredible! Check out the full poem here.
We would love for all of you to join us again this year! Starting April 1, we’ll be asking all of you to contribute a line of poetry of no more than 140 characters based on our word of the day. You can send us your line on Facebook, Twitter, or right here in the comments section. At the end of the month, we’ll combine every single line submitted into one piece of poetry. The poem will be published on our blog, and we’ll also list all of our participants!

We look forward to your submissions! Happy rhyming!
